1. Description of Our Community
Fenyuan Township is located in the Bagua Mountain Range, which has always been the center of Taiwan for the production of lychees and longan. The blooming in March every year attracts a large number of bees to collect honey. Beekeepers move the beehives here to collect honey. The beekeepers will not remove the hives until the late longan season. So every once in a while, you will see cars full of beehives moving on the road.
2. Summary of Our Project
We knew Mr. Hong, who is also an alumnus and beekeeper because of the school curriculum. At first, we were curious about the life of beekeepers resembling Gypsies moving to different places. However, after going deeper into the subject of beekeeper’s life, we found out the recent Even if the beekeeper moved around to collect honey in the year, he still could not receive as much honey as before because of the death of the bees. So we started by knowing beekeepers to explore the causes of bee death and how to change our behavior to protect bees and spread this knowledge to more people.

B. Number of workstations with Internet access in the classroom:more than 6
C. Connection speed used in the classroom:not sure
D. Number of years our classroom has been connected to the Internet:more than 6
4. Problems We Had To Overcome
Because this subject requires contact with bees, there is a risk of being stung by bees. And there is a classmate who is allergic to bees, which caused a lot of trouble when we observe and study bees. And when the bees lack food, they are more ferocious and sting. In addition, due to lack of time, we will hold a meeting every week to discuss and build a website, and set a goal. Everyone is assigned a different job. Some teammates may not be able to turn in on time due to personal reasons, which brings us inconvenience. , Otherwise we will review our work distribution, re-adjust, let the completed teammates help those who have not completed, help each other, and give play to our team strength.
5. Our Project Sound Bite
After six months of research on the Cyberfair project, we finally have the opportunity to gain insight into the lives of beekeepers and the causes of bee deaths. Because humans spray a lot of pesticides in order to make fruit trees grow quickly or quickly eliminate pests, this has caused bees to die. We completed our theme through a lot of interviews and exercises, and actually implemented measures to protect bees, and in the process promoted many concepts of protecting bees. Even issuing questionnaires (more than 150 papers) and designing games can help more people understand how to protect bees and the environment. Our team is supported and encouraged by teachers and parents. By participating in this Internet Expo, we have gained a lot of valuable experience different from the school curriculum. We feel mixed and we have grown a lot. Working together is our best return.
6. How did your activities and research for this CyberFair Project support standards, required coursework and curriculum standards?
We discussed during our lunch break, using websites making skill in computer class, analysis skill in business class, and language logic in English class. In addition to teachers help, we also visited businessmen, made some investigations ,found some books and looked for studios to learn how to make hive ,and we gained a lot.
